  • Notzrim and Jews

    Notzrim and Jews

    By Ben Cohen

[Original @ http://www.bible-light.com/BLON/V07-3_2000-04/april2000a3.htm... version below has graphics & bracketed editing for highlighting & clarifications]

“And there shall be a day that the watchmen upon Mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye,and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.” (Jeremiah 31:6)

To get a better understanding of where we are right now, we need to understand the Hebrew language the way it is expressed in the Bible.

Yesterday we were talking and singing about the watchmen. Does any body know what the word “watchman” is in the sentence? The way it is expressed in Jeremiah is notzey [ original editor's error... should be 'notzriy' which is the singular form of the word 'notzrim'/watchmen ].

The way it’s been translated in our Bibles, it’s a wonder we can see it right. The word [watchmen] is notzrim, and the root is natzar. The real explanation of this word in Hebrew is to “safe keep” — to keep till a later time, to hide it in a way that will be revealed later.

Let me give you another explanation. You have a hand grenade; it has a pin. The pin in Hebrew is called nitzray. That’s with the same root. That’s what’s keeping it together. If you open it, it pops out.

So now you can go back to Jeremiah 31, and let’s try to understand it. [Editor’snote: Ben read from his Hebrew Bible; audio on the tape was not always clear,so I have substituted the Isaac Lesser version for Jeremiah 31:5,6 which is verses 6 & 7 in KJV]. For there cometh a day, that the watchers [Notzrim, in Hebrew] call out upon the mountain of Ephraim, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.

“For thus hath said the LORD, Sing for Jacob with joy, and shout at the head of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, the LORD hath helped thy people, the remnant of Israel.”

Here is something interesting. Most of you who are in touch with Israel know that Christians are called “Notzrim” in Hebrew. It is amazing! Why? You know where it comes from? It comes from the word “Nazareth”; it means “Nazarenes”. There is no other root in Hebrew that the word comes from. The reason for this city to be called Nazareth is amazing. At that time, obviously, it was just a name. The meaning wasn’t revealed. But looking back at it now, we can see what is the root of this word.

But before we discuss it, I just want to go to Isaiah 49:6 which also gives us the same root: “It is insufficient that you be a servant to me only, to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel! [Ben’s Hebrew version] But I will (also) appoint thee for a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach as far as the end of the earth” (Isaac Lesser: Isaiah 49:6).

The “Preserved” of Israel in this particular case, is the same Hebrew root, notzriy [n'tzoorey]. The ones that were safe-kept for the time to come. So you can see we are talking about Israel, the Kingdom of Israel, that is being really safe-kept for the future time to come.

Now going back to the word notzrim, again I say, it came from the same source – from Nazareth. But now take into consideration that the Book of Jeremiah, of course, was written before there was Christianity. You look for a clue as to how it came about that Jeremiah used a word that was not used before at all, and it is the word used for “Christians” today. And it is translated “preserved of Israel” in English. Elsewhere it is translated as “watchmen”. Why watchmen?

Looking at the regathering of Judea and Israel, we can maybe begin to understand what was the purpose of all this. There is a big portion of the Israel people that is being kept, being safe-kept, for the future to come. And what is happening now is that this whole thing is coming about.

    Branch out of Roots

One more sentence very significant that uses the same root is Isaiah 11:1: “And there shall come forth a staff [rod, KJV] out of the stem [geza, a cut down trunk or stump of a tree, above ground. A wild growth, a staff, comes out of it] of Jesse, and a Branch [Hebrew: netzer, a shoot] shall grow out of his roots [underground].”

                                                                                         Isaiah 11-1

Here we have two situations: (1) above ground stem -like a stump of a tree, and (2) the root which is underground; suddenly a branch, a shoot, is coming out the root. How can you explain the reason for that? In other words, the stump has already been there, then the branch comes from the stump of the tree. The passage says (in my translation), “And a shoot will strike from his roots”. Those roots were there all the time. Suddenly a shoot is coming out of it. So again you see you are dealing with something that was hidden — under ground. This word “branch” is netzer. It comes from the roots. So this is very interesting.

Why am I stating this? Because it is very important. It gives us an understanding of where is the Christian people mentioned in the Tenach [Hebrew Bible]. That’s where we’re going; we’re saying, “Hey! – now there’s two kingdoms that got separated 2700 years ago.” One of them as we’ll study a little later, is completely assimilated. It was taken out of Judaism and lost completely its roots. But here comes Isaiah and he says, “Look! – The roots are there; it’s under the ground, but when the time comes it’s going to pop out.”

So you know what it gives us? It gives us a distinct hope and it gives us an understanding of what was Christianity. We can view how Christianity came about and how is it to become a part of Israel. It’s been hidden underground. It was a shoot that comes from the root. The tree is there; it has a root, it has a trunk. That’s the first part, the first part of Israel’s descendants. Then a staff will emerge from the stump of Jesse.

I’ll try to explain to you what it means in Hebrew. [Ben draws a sketch of the main trunk of a tree, the roots, the branches.]

I don’t know what it is in English, but I’m going to try to explain to you what it means in Hebrew.

If you have a tree, and you want to cut off a big branch from it, what do you do? In order for it not to grow, you put some tar or something on it. So then when you look at it, on the trunk of the tree is some sort of big hole and nothing is coming out of it. It’s sealed. There’s a place on the tree’s trunk, but it is sealed.

Then you look at it a couple years later and suddenly, a staff – a shoot – is coming out of it. Totally unexpected. You didn’t expect it ever, because you had sealed it. But there it is; out of that black spot, you see something is sprouting out. This is exactly the word mentioned here – it is something not expected. The tree is there, and something is coming out of it that was cut off before and it’s coming back.

It takes a spiritual understanding but we’re talking about the linguistic and the real meaning of the word coming from the Hebrew language. I know if we could have read it 100 years ago, or 50 years ago – even 5 years ago, it would not have the substance it really has these days. It is becoming more and more clear to understand.

    Sin Cuts Off

The purpose that the kingdom was cut off was because of the sins of King Solomon.King Solomon who was given everything by God, betrayed God at the end of his days. In respect to his father, who was David, God said He wouldn’t divide the kingdom during Solomon’s days but his son, Rehoboam, would pay for it in his time. One of his helpers, one of his assistants, Jereboam, took a whole group of tribes, a whole kingdom, out ofJudah.

                                                                                           Solomon Sins

The capital was Jerusalem where David and Solomon reigned. the Temple was in Jerusalem. Then suddenly Jereboam comes and declares, “Hey, look we don’t have a part in Judah; we don’t need the House of David. We’re going to Samaria, to Shomron, and we’re going to establish our own kingdom, our own capital and our own temple.” But the temple was a pagan temple. They went completely out from God.

Jeroboam Declares Separation From House of David

    God’s Sovereignty

I want you to see it in this context. In II Chronicles 10 and the last verse, “Thus Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.” Andso it has continued “to this day” — to the day that we are in now.

Then in chapter 11, [Ben’s version]: “Rehoboam came to Jerusalem and gathered together the house of Judah and Benjamin 180,000 choice warriors to fight against the House of Israel, to return the kingdom to Rehoboam.”

It was not a time to fight, to force a rule against God’s Word, but Rehoboam tried to bring back the whole Kingdom to Judah. Then what happens?

In 11:2, “The Word of HaShem came to Shemaiah the man of God saying, Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin saying, Thus saith HaShem, Do not go up and fight with your brethren: let each man return to his home, for this matter was brought about by me. They obeyed the words of HaShem and turned back from going to fight Jereboam.”

                                                                                              Prophet Shamaiah Turns Rehoboam back

In other words what happened is that God made the decision that the kingdom is going to be split because of the sins of Solomon. Though Rehoboam tried to make the change, He sent him the prophet and who said, “Don’t do that. It is God’s plan to separate that kingdom. So don’t touch it.”

Back to this root, that word natzar, so we can understand that it is something being kept like in a safe. Nobody really knows about it. In other words it goes and develops its own life very much separated from the main –even Judah. Very much separated in its own different doctrine, different in everything. In fact, not only that, but unfortunately there was a big problem between Christianity and Judaism throughout the duration of the last 2,000years. Because of this misunderstanding, doctrines developed into a show of righteousness, which as you know, brought all kinds of anti-Semitism, holocausts, pogroms and everything else which was a result of that.

    Regarding Bones and Spirit

What we’re interested in now is how do we put these two back together? And for that we can go to Ezekiel 37 and read the prophecy regarding the rejoining of the House of Judah and the House of Israel.

[Then Ezekiel 37:1-14 was read; please read it now to be familiar with the following points discussed.]

Notice in verse 11, He is talking about the “whole house of Israel”. What IS the WholeHouse of Israel? It is both Judah and Ephraim. As we get into the second part,we will understand the whole chapter deals with Judah and Ephraim.

ButI want to stop here awhile. We have a situation of body and spirit – the soul. First of all, He is bringing up the bodies; the bodies are standing up. They have flesh, they have bones, they have sinews. They have skin on them, but they are breathless; they don’t have the Spirit in them; they don’t have the breathin them. Then He calls the wind.

What is Ezekiel trying to explain to us? That the regathering of Israel, the rebirth of Israel is going to come in two separate stages. One stage is going to be the body. In other words, God’s plan is in the regathering. He is interested right now to bring the bodies in to build that country. Then when He gathers everybody together, He’s going to blow the Spirit – that’s when He is going to put the Spirit upon us. In terms of Judaism and Christianity, we can understand it this way: Judah represents the body, because these are the people who are to be Jews; they are KNOWN to be of the House of Israel. So they represent the body of Israel right now, but they do not have the Spirit. That Holy Spirit is in the hand of the true Christians today.

    Section II

Jeremiah 31 is probably the most significant chapter in the Bible regarding the gathering of Ephraim into the whole house of Israel.

It’s really a very honest discussion of love between God and the House of Israel. I’ll have to admit that whenever we read the Bible in the past, we Jews always considered it to be talking about us. That everything belongs to us, not knowing that we are just a part of the whole kingdom.

Jeremiah here is talking almost exclusively about the love of God to the House of Ephraim which is an outcast at this point and not a part of Judaism. And as we look at the very beginning of 31 and I hope the way I’m going to read is very much like your translation in your Bible. If you have any problem let me know.

Let’s start with and a sentence before that – the last sentence of Jeremiah 30: “At that time the Word of HaShem, I will be God of all the families of Israel and you will be a people for me.”

Now we see here that Israel is not just the family of Judah. Israel is a whole series of families that is going to gather together – and that’s when God is going to talk to us.

“Behold I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the ends of the earth and among them will be the blind and the lame and the pregnant and the broken together. A great congregation will return you.

“With weeping they will come, and with supplication will guide them by streams of water on a direct path on which they will not be astounded. For I have been a father to Israel and Ephraim is my firstborn.”

    Isn’t that interesting?!

“Hear the word of HaShem, O nations and in distance islands and say the one that scattered Israel, He shall gather him and guard him as a shepherd guards his flock. HaShem will have redeemed Jacob and delivered him from the hand that is mightier than he.”

Now, we are coming to the peak of this chapter.

“Thus saith HaShem, A voice is heard on high, wailing, bitter weeping. Rachel weeps for her children.”

Let’s talk about Rachel. Rachel was the mother of Joseph and Benjamin. Why did Jeremiah think of Rachel weeping? Benjamin, as you know, was a tribe that always went with Judah, and did so when the kingdom was split. Benjamin was always with Judah because the State of Benjamin was right around Jerusalem. The rest of the 10 tribes separated. Rachel being the mother of both Benjamin and Joseph, out of which the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh came, was crying. And “She refuses to be consoled for her children for they are not.”

In other words, she is looking from heaven and says “Hey, where are they? Where is Ephraim? Where is Manasseh? Where is Joseph? I don’t see them. They’re not. They’re not around. I can’t see them; they are so assimilated; they’re so scattered.” They are so preserved inside that Rachel herself cannot see them, for they are not shown as a part of Israel.

                                                                                         Assyrian Exile of Ephraim

“Thus saith HaShem, Refrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears. For there is a reward for your accomplishment, the Word of HaShem. And they will return from where? From the enemies’ land. There is a hope for your future the Word of HaShem and the children will return to their border.”

Now, He’s talking about Ephraim, again. God says, “I have indeed heard Ephraim moaning.” Ephraim is moaning; Ephraim is an outcast; is somebody who has no roots; someone who has no connection. And what does Ephraim say? “You have chastised me like an unclean cloth. Bring me back to you and I shall return, for you are HaShem, my God, You are the LORD my God.”

And then God says, “Is Ephraim my favorite son or a delightful child that whenever I speak of him, I remember him more and more.” Here we have the Father who knows who his son is. He is under the blanket. Under the ground and He wants him to come back, but the time is not come yet. And says,“He’s my delightful child; whenever I speak of him, I remember him more and more; therefore, my inner self yearns for him. I will surely take pity on him – the Word of HaShem.”

So that’s where we are, you see. When I read this chapter I want you to know thatI get so excited over it and yet it becomes so heavy. What can we do about it to bring this thing together? But what God says is, “To everything there is a time.” The time’s not come.

So I just want you to know this is exactly how I feel as a Jew. This is talking about Ephraim – a BIG part of Israel that’s not been revealed yet, but it is all in safe keeping situation. And only when the time comes, these things are going to pop out and we’ll be together. We ARE together already. But we are just a very small remnant.

With that in mind, we’ll go for lunch and then have discussion.

Hebrew words are made from a root, usually of three Hebrew letters. This root is [from right to left: nun, tzadik, resh] for all the following words: natzar, netzer, notzriy, n’tzoorey, notzrim, nitzray, netzarim, Natzaret.

During this teaching Ben Cohen was asked, “When you say“Christianity”, what do you mean? Do you include all that goes under that name?” Ben replied: “No, No! I’m talking about the true Christians. The people who are holding to the Spirit. The ones that understand about Israel. You who are here understand that Israel is Israel.

But there is a people that don’t understand yet, but they are a part of it, because they are Notzrim [i.e., Christians; but yet, thinking themselves to be separate from- or solely an adjunct to- Israel]. They’re still “under the ground”. That shoot, that staff has not come out yet. You understand? In other words, they are a part of it, but they don’t know it yet. And that’s where the word “natzar” is coming from. It’s very important for us to understand it. It’s really a very unique word. I want you to understand, this word in the whole Bible is mentioned maybe three or four times at most. And every where its mentioned, it has to do with ‘Ephraim’. It’s amazing!    [Click on center photo, below, for an even deeper understanding]

  • An Egyptian Description of the Exodus!

An Egyptian Description of the Exodus! – By J.R. Church

    ipuwer_papyrus_sq

We have read about the 10 plagues of Egypt in the Bible, but what if an ancient papyrus was discovered that described the plagues from the pen of an Egyptian? Well, guess what! In 1822, an ancient papyrus was discovered near the pyramids of Saqqara. The papyrus came into the possession of Giovanni Anastasi, the Swedish consul to Egypt, who, in turn, sold it to the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden, Netherlands, in 1828.

It has been dubbed “Leiden 344″ and tells the story of an Egyptian man named Ipuwer. We shall call it “The Ipuwer Papyrus.” It lay in obscurity for almost a century, until Egyptologist Sir Alan Gardiner took up the task of translating it in 1909. Only then were its secrets revealed.

According to the translation, the Ipuwer Papyrus was a scathing indictment against the pharaoh – the one responsible for Egypt’s destruction. It has been dated at around the 12th dynasty, the very era believed to be about the time when Moses led the Israelite slaves to freedom. But of course, modern scholarship has pounced on it with a vengeance, trying to discredit its author, his era, and the authenticity of his papyrus.

So, you decide. Compare the following Egyptian text with each corresponding biblical account. David Brennan, in his book, The Israel Omen, discusses this scroll at length and paints a dismal picture of Egypt’s plight: “Strangely, there appears to be no one around to protect the people and maintain civil order, as though the entire Egyptian army had somehow disappeared into thin air. Starvation is rampant. Worst of all, something very strange has happened to the great Nile River, the lifeline of ancient Egyptian society, and now it is undrinkable.”

    Turning Water to Blood

                                               River of Blood_sq

First, let’s look at the Exodus account of Moses turning Egypt’s water into blood:

7:20 “… And all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

7:21 “… the river stank… there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

7:24 “So all the Egyptians dug all around the river for water to drink, because they could not drink the water of the river.”

Now let’s see what the Ipuwer Papyrus says:

2:5,6 “Plague is throughout the land. Blood is everywhere.

    2:10 “The river is blood.

2:10 “Men shrink from tasting – human beings, and thirst after water.

3:10-13 “That is our water! That is our happiness! What shall we do in respect thereof? All is ruin.”

Ipuwer goes on the describe seeing a man pour water on the ground and causing great misery to the strongest men of Egypt:

7:4 “Behold Egypt is poured out like water. He who poured water on the dry land, he has captured the strong man in misery.”

    The Exodus account says:

4:9 “And it shall be, if they do not believe even these two signs, or listen to your voice, that you shall take water from the river and pour it on the dry land. The water which you take from the river will become blood on the dry land.”

It appears that Ipuwer watched Moses take a pitcher of water from the Nile and pour it on the ground in the presence of the mighty pharaoh!

    Hail, Fire and Blood

                                            Hail & Fire_sq

Now, lets look at the plague of hail and fire. The Exodus account says:

9:23-24 “… and the fire darted to the ground… there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, so very heavy.

9:25 “… and the hail struck every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field.

9:31,32 “Now the flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the head and the flax was in bud.

“But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they are late crops.

10:15 “… there remained nothing green on the trees or on the plants of the field throughout all the land of Egypt.”

    The Ipuwer Papyrus says:

2:10 “Forsooth, gates, columns and walls are consumed by fire.

10:3-6 “Lower Egypt weeps… The entire palace is without its revenues. To it belong [by right] wheat and barley, geese and fish.

6:3 “Forsooth, grain has perished on every side.

5:12 “Forsooth, that has perished, which was yesterday seen. The land is left over to its weariness like the cutting of flax.”

Ipuwer says that the crops, which were fine only yesterday, are now destroyed by fire. Egypt was left without food.

    Sick Cattle

                                          Cattle_sq

Now lets look at the plague upon cattle throughout Egypt. The Exodus account says:

9:3 “… the hand of the Lord will be on your cattle in the field… a very servere pestilence [sickness].

9:19 “… gather your livestock and all that you have in the field…

9:21 “But he who did not regard the word of the Lord left his servants and his livestock in the field.”

    The Ipuwer Papyrus says:

5:5 “All animals, their hearts weep. Cattle moan…

9:2,3 “Behold, cattle are left to stray, and there is none to gather them together.”

Note that the Bible tells the Egyptians to gather their cattle, and the Ipuwer Papyrus says that the cattle are left to stray because there was no one to gather them.

    Darkness

                                            darkness over the land_sq

Concerning the darkness that covered Egypt, the Exodus account says:

10:22 “… and there was darkness in all the land of Egypt…”

    The Ipuwer Papyrus says:

9:11 “The land is without light.”

    Death of the Firstborn

                  Death of the firstborn_sq

Concerning the death of the firstborn, the Exodus passage says:

12:29 “And it came to pass at midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the first born of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn or livestock.

12:30 “… there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.”

    The Ipuwer Papyrus says:

4:3 (5:6) “Forsooth, the children of princes are dashed against the walls.

6:12 “Forsooth, the children of princes are cast out in the streets.

    6:3 “The prison is ruined.

2:13 “He who places his brother in the ground is everywhere.

3:14 “It is groaning throughout the land, mingled with lamentations.”

    The Pillar of Fire

                                                      Pillar of fire_sq

Concerning the pillar of fire that led the Israelites out of Egypt, the Exodus passage says:

13:21 “… by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.”

    The Ipuwer Papyrus says:

7:1 “Behold, the fire has mounted up on high. Its burning goes forth against the enemies of the land.”

Ipuwer saw a great fire building high in the sky and thought that Egypt’s gods had finally come to destroy the Israelites. After all, it stood above them as they left Egypt. He did not understand that the pillar of cloud and fire was there to guide the Israelites.

    Gold and Booty of Egypt

                                                  Gold & Booty of Egypt_sq

Concerning the booty of Egypt, the Exodus account says:

12:35,36 “… they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.”

    The Ipuwer Papyrus says:

3:2 “Gold and lapis lazuli, silver and malachite, carnelian and bronze… are fastened on the necks of female slaves.”

The Ipuwer Papyrus has condition problems. We don’t know how much is missing – both from before and after the existing text. There are also many gaps in the papyrus, leaving it in poor condition. Unfortunately, the name of the pharaoh is missing. Ipuwer describes the devastation in both the upper (southern) and the lower (northern) kingdom and blames the pharaoh for letting his nation fall into chaos. He urges the pharaoh to “destroy the enemies of the August Residence,” which could be a factor in pharaoh’s decision to pursue the Israelites all the way to the Red Sea!

  • Zionist Christians Might Be From The ‘Ten Lost Tribes’

    Zechariah Patrol

Prophetic Insights: Seeing Events From Heaven’s Throne Room

Zionist Christians might be from Israel’s ‘Ten Lost tribes’
    By Brian Hennessy

    After nearly two millennia

We are witnessing an amazing turn of events in Jewish/Christian history. After nearly two millennia of animosity and distrust, we see large numbers of Christians loving Jews. And Jews worldwide are responding and appreciating Christians for their friendship and strong support of Israel.

This new mutual warmth has caused many Jews and Christians to remark that we have more in common with each other – in spite of our different beliefs regarding Jesus – than we do with many of our co-religionists. For we are as far removed from our Jimmy Carters and Reverend Wrights as the Jewish Zionists are from their Noam Chomskys and Richard Goldstones.

The swiftness of the change has also caused many within the Christian Zionist movement to wonder if there isn’t more going on here. Is our sudden passionate defense of Israel being driven by something deeper than just our common biblical heritage? Could we actually be witnessing the fulfillment of the most prophesied event in the Bible – the reunion of the House of Israel with the House of Judah? More to the point, could we Christians be actual descendants of the missing Ten Tribes of the House of Israel, captured by Assyria and scattered among the nations in 722 BCE? More and more Christians (myself included), and even some Jews, have come to this startling conclusion!

Although the event is foretold by all of Israel’s prophets, none described it more graphically than Ezekiel. Given a vision of a valley covered with dry bones, he was asked by an angel, “Son of man, can these bones live?” When he could not answer, the angel told him to command the breath [Holy Spirit] to breathe “on these slain that they may come to life.” So he did, “and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.” He was then informed: “Son of man these bones are the whole house of Israel” (Ezekiel 37:1-14).

This powerful vision was soon followed by a command from the Lord to join two sticks together, reemphasizing the reunion of Judah and Israel. “And I will make them one nation in the Land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations, and no longer be divided into two kingdoms… My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd” (Ezekiel 37:22,24).

For those a bit hazy on their biblical history, let me back up a bit.

The breakup of the united kingdom of Israel into two separate nations is told in 1 Kings 11 and 12. There we read of God’s judgment on the House of David following the reign of Solomon. God had warned Solomon to repent of his idolatrous ways, but the king ignored God’s command. Consequently, 10 of the 12 tribes were ripped away to become a separate nation known as the House of Israel (often called “Ephraim,” after its largest tribe). The two remaining tribes, Judah and Benjamin, formed the southern kingdom and became known as the House of Judah. Both continued as separate kingdoms for another 200 years, often actually warring with one another.

Eventually God’s judgment fell again, but only on the northern kingdom. After God “divorced” the northern kingdom by declaring it to be “not My people” via the prophet Hosea, Assyria swept down and carried them off into the nations, where they assimilated and disappeared. As gentiles, they were now “excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in this world” (Ephesians 2:12).

God’s judgment finally caught up with Judah also about 100 years later, when she was exiled to Babylon for 70 years (and where her people were first called “Jews”). She eventually returned to the Land and lived there long enough to birth the man we Christians worship as the Messiah. One hundred and thirty years later, Judah suffered a second exile, this time being scattered to the four corners of the earth by the Roman legions in about 135 CE.

Now all 12 tribes were dispersed among the nations, until descendants of the House of Judah began to come home in the late 1800s. But the other 10 tribes of Israel are still missing.

Some contend that enough representatives of the northern kingdom were absorbed into the House of Judah before the Assyrian exile to say the whole nation is today represented by “the Jews.” But why would the prophets, many of whom wrote long after the exile of the northern kingdom, talk of the glorious return of the 10 tribes and their reunion with Judah if it had already taken place?

The bottom line is that more than 80% of Jacob’s family is still missing and have had 2,700 years to intermarry with every nationality. Today they probably number in the hundreds of millions. Where are they? How will we know them? And if we are in the Last Days, as most of us believe, how will they be found in time to be reunited with Judah?

What of the New Testament? Are there any suggestions there that the non-Jewish followers of Jesus could indeed be physical descendants of the scattered tribes? Once you begin to look, the clues are everywhere!

Start with the inauguration of the New Covenant by Jesus. Most Christians and Jews think this was something Jesus created for Christians. But when you read the words of the covenant you see it was promised only to the descendants of Judah and Israel through Jeremiah’s prophecy.

“Behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, declares the Lord.

“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord. I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Jeremiah 31: 31,32; Hebrews 8:8-13)

We also have the apostle Paul saying clearly to the believers in Galatia: “If you belong to Messiah, you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise” (Galatians 3:29).

To the believers in Ephesus he writes that “you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ [...] that in himself he might make the two into one new man” (Ephesians 2:13-15).

Doesn’t that sound like the two joined sticks of Ezekiel?

And in his letter to the Roman church, Paul applies to the gentile followers the very words of hope that the prophet Hosea spoke to the banished northern kingdom, saying: “I will call those who were not My people, ‘My people.’ And it shall be in the place where it was said to them, ‘you are not My people,’ there they shall be called sons of the Living God” (Romans 9:25,26; Hoseah 1:10). And are not the followers of Jesus called “sons of God” by the Jewish writers of the New Testament?

Then there’s Paul’s figurative analogy in Romans 11 of the gentiles being wild olive branches grafted into the cultivated olive tree of Israel. But notice that we too are olive branches. The “wild olive tree” analogy fits perfectly with the northern kingdom scenario of a people who were simply let go.

We also have the apostle James greeting the whole church in the opening of his epistle, both Jew and gentile, as “the 12 tribes who are dispersed abroad” (James 1:1). That’s puzzled scholars for centuries.

And consider the statement by the author of Hebrews that, “Both he who sanctifies [referring to Jesus] and those who are sanctified are all from one [referring to Abraham], for which reason he is not ashamed to call them brethren” (Hebrews 2:11-16).

We also have John’s description of the heavenly city of Jerusalem in the book of Revelation having only 12 gates, each named after one of the 12 tribes of Israel (see Revelation 21:12). There is no gate marked “Christian.” Or any back door for “righteous gentiles.”

And of course there are these words of Jesus (who was of the tribe of Judah), spoken to his Jewish followers: “I am sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 15:24). Not much room there for anyone outside the chosen line of Isaac, is there?

Speaking of not much room, many readers are no doubt thinking, “if this is true, how would so many Christians ever fit into Israel?” Although not all will come home, for only “a remnant will be saved” (Isaiah 10:22; Romans 9:27), still the number would be quite large. That makes this prophecy by Isaiah all the more intriguing: “The children of whom you were bereaved will yet say in your ears, ‘The place is too cramped for me; make room for me that I may live here. Then you will say in your heart; Who has begotten these for me… Behold I was left alone, from where did these come?” (Isaiah 49: 20,21)

I guess the Lord Himself will eventually make it clear whether we Christian Zionists are the missing tribes. A recent news item even suggests a possible way. A new genetic study has shown that worldwide Jewry all share the same genome, proving they constitute “one family.” Maybe it’s time we non-Jewish lovers of Israel take the same test.

Brian concluded his article with the suggestion that “Maybe it’s time we non-Jewish lovers of Israel take the same test.” We are pleased to report that a program is being developed that will not only allow Ephraimites to take a DNA test to see if they have the markers exhibited by a majority of the some 165,000 people who took the test and felt that they were Jewish; but will provide data to develop an Ephraimite database.

This database would be of those who feel they are of Ephraim, the other house of Israel. The goal will be to see if common markers are exhibited by the majority claiming Ephraimite heritage. Hopefully, the database would grow to the point where it could be possible to identify markers associated with each of Israel’s tribes.

We will keep you posted on the progress of the program, and how you can participate.

We are engaged in a War of Words
Be sure that you are well armed!

For Ephraim to once a again become a mighty man ready for YHVH’s Whistle to return to the land and join with his brother  Judah, and together defeat their enemies, he must increase his numbers (Zech 10:7-12). This requires that lost sheep become found sheep. This transformation under the guidance of the Ruach Ha Kodesh can best be accomplished by providing appropriate verbal and written information, and fellowship to lost sheep.

Twenty thousand copies Ephraim and Judah – Israel Revealed which have been distributed in the past have been a key factor in turning lost sheep into found sheep. It has proven to be an excellent initial word weapon.

This book is currently out of print. However used copies are available through Amazon at this link: Ephraim and Judah: Israel Revealed

The good news is that we will soon have a new and improved version of this classic book. It will be titled, Who Is Israel – Redeemed Israel – A Digest. This exciting new overview will make an excellent and inexpensive handout book. It can now be ordered at a very special price at Alliance of Redeemed Israel. For more information see the Challenges of Being A Watchman

  • The Hebrew Letter TAV: A Sign, Mark, The Seal of Truth, And the Tzlav (Cross) of Messiah

The Hebrew Letter 1a (Tav): A Sign, Mark,The Seal of Truth, And the Tzlav (Cross) of Messiah

compiled and edited by Aviel Rodriguez

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   2. Hebrew Dictionary

The above illustration displays the circled Hebrew letter ‘Tav’- as it appears on page 307 of Ben-Yehuda’s English-Hebrew/Hebrew-English Dictionary.  At first glance, it may seem that there are three separate letters encircled above; however, in actuality, it is a single letter ‘tav’ written in three separate ways.  You may have noted that the one which is farthest left of the three is written in the more familiar style of the modern-Hebrew alphabet.  That would be correct.  However, to the right of it we now gaze upon the two ancient forms of that same letter… i.e., as it would’ve appeared in the ancient Paleo-Hebrew alphabet.  These were written as cross-shaped figures; and they would have been used interchangeably by the ancient scribes to designate the same letter, ‘tav’.

A renowned Orthodox rabbi in Israel, by the name of Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh, believes that this ancient letter, TAV, was the mark (sign) placed upon the forehead of Cain by the LORD for his protection- as mentioned in Genesis 4:15

                         3. Cain

Regarding the name of the letter ‘Tav‘- and with distinct reference to its different plains of spirituality- Rabbi Ginsburgh writes the following:

                                           3aGinsburgh

This then begs a question in my mind… i.e., when it says in Job- the oldest book of the Bible- that Job states the following:

    Job 19:25 (New KJV)

     25For I knowthatmy Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth…

Did Job have any idea of what it would cost to redeem him?Well, when I look at what Job says later on in Job 31:35, I have to suspect that maybe he did.

You see, in Job 13:35 (New KJV), Job says the following:

Oh, that I had one to hear me!
    Here is my mark (tav)
    4. Tav for Job .
    Oh, that
    the Almighty would answer me,
Thatmy Prosecutor had written a book!

In the Young’s Literal Translation Version it reads as follows:

Who giveth to me a hearing? lo, my mark (tav) 4. Tav for Job . The Mighty One [his Redeemer] doth answer me, And a bill hath mine adversary written.

Could it be that Job knew that the tav was the mark, sign, that was placed upon Cain’s forehead; and moreover, that he knew this to be a sign from the Almighty for protection and ultimate redemption?

Regarding the Jewish mystical understandings of the Eytz Chayim (Tree of Life) it is said:

    4a. Eytz Chayim_123

The word Kether (Keter) means ‘Crown’ [at the top].The word Tiphereth (Tiferet) means ‘Beauty’ [in the middle].The word Malkuth (Malkut) means ‘Kingdom’ [at the bottom].

                              5. Eytz Chayim_man_after expl Malkuth

             5a. Exceedingly Interesting

Could it also be that the Prophet Ezekiel held the two sticks which God commanded him to hold as one in his hand- signifying the restoration and reunification of both Houses of Israel (Judah & Ephraim)- as in the form of a Tav (i.e., a cross)?  [See Ezekiel 37:15-28, 31:31-36; 'Two Houses of Israel' Tract]

                                                                    6. Ezek Cross

It may appear possible, as well, that those who sighed and cried because of the abominations committed in Jerusalem’s midst- just before the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.E- may have received this mark (sign)… i.e., a ‘Tav’ 7. in that day_tav upon their foreheads.  The letter ‘tav’ (i.e., the cross) may very well have been the ”mark” placed [spiritually] upon the foreheads of the Jerusalem faithful at that time (586 B.C.E.).  In Ezekiel 9:3-4- which speaks of the event- the ‘tav’ seems to be indicated as a seal of deliverance; and ordained by God to keep the aforementioned ’faithful’ from the judgement that would then soon befall the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

                                                             8. Ezek Seal_Tav

As for the word “mark” in Ezekiel 9:4, the Strong’s Concordance and the Gesenius Lexicon state the following:

                                        Strong's H8420_ mark1

                                        Strong's H8420_ mark2

The letter ‘Tav’ is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet; just as Omega is that last letter of the Greek alphabet.  In the Greek New Testament, Yeshua proclaims of himself “I am the Alpha and the Omega”.  In Hebrew, he was actually saying ”I am the Aleph and the Tav”. [Revelation 21:6, 22:13, Isaiah 41:4, 44:6; 48:12

                                                   9. Yeshua Cross_Menorah

                10. After Cross Menorah

The following has been excerpted from the free online T’NaKH(Hebrew Scriptures): ‘Bible II’ – the online bar/bat mitzvah tutor:

    In the Book of Exodus…

    29:4

Bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Communion Tent, and immerse them in a mikvah.

    29:5

Take the vestments and place the tunic, the ephod’s robe, the ephod and the breastplate on Aaron. Bind him with the ephod’s belt.

    29:6

Then place the turban on his head, and place the sacred plate [below] the turban.

    29:7

Take the anointing oil, pour [a little] on [Aaron's] head, and anoint him.

Now, please read the following Jewish commentary given with particular regard to the word ‘anoint’ in verse 29:7, above:

    anoint
After pouring the oil on the priest’s head, he would make an X-like mark (bold emphasis mine) with it on the priest’s forehead (Kerithoth5b;Yad,Kley HaMikdash1:9; seeTifereth YisraelonZevachim10:6;Torah Sh’lemah23:194ff.).

In 2006, one of Israel’s most prominent rabbis, Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, died at the estimated age of 108.  Before dying he revealed to his talmidim (disciples) that he’d met the messiah and that he’d left a note regarding the name of the Messiah in a sealed envelope for which he left strict instruction not to open until the first-year anniversary of his death.  What follows were segments excerpted from a full report filed by an Israeli reporter for the internet magazine, Israel Today, concerning these matters.  Please take special note of the references to the Rabbi and the ‘crosses:

                                        Israel Today1

                                                    kadurireading

                                         Israel Today2

CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING FOR A MORE RECENT REVELATION THAT GREATLY RELATES TO THE ABOVE!!!… Some Disciples of Rav Kaduri declare that Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri did believe- and did reveal to some of his students- that Yehoshua (i.e., Yeshua HaNotzri/Jesus of Nazareth) is the Mashiach!!!

And so, with respect to the ’Cross’ (i.e., the Tav), it is also most important to note that the Hebrew ’gematria’ (numerical value) for the biblical word ’Nachash’ (Serpent) is exactly equal to the Hebrew gematria for the word ’Moshiach’ (i.e., Messiah).  They both equal 358.

Having said that, the following verses of Scripture, therefore, gain much added significance:

    Numbers 21:8-9 (Amplified Bible)

8And the Lord said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent [of bronze] and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.

9And Moses made a serpent of bronze and put it on a pole, and if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of bronze [[a]attentively, expectantly, with a steady and absorbing gaze], he lived.

For the word “pole”, above, the Strong’s Concordance reveals the following:

                                   Strong's H5251_ pole

    Isaiah 11:10 (KJV)

10And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign [i.e., 'nec'... a sign, banner... same as 'pole'  (see above)] of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest [in hebrew text... "me'noochato"... meaning, literally, "resting-place"... i.e., pointing to the Cross... the Tav... the finality... where Yeshua said regarding his 'redemptive mission': "It isfinished" ... therefore, his Cross... the resting-place] shall be glorious.

    John 3:14-15 (KJV)

14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

    11. Brazen serpent_Cross of Christ

And so, in that Great Day of his return- as Yeshua HaMashiach prophesied- all eyes will see him returning to the earth with power and great glory; but first, there will appear the ‘sign’ of the Son of Man in the heavens:

    Matthew 24:30 (New KJV)

30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Compiled and edited by Aviel Rodriguez

                                      Adam & Eve Expulsion

    Matthew 5:17 and 18:

Think not that I have come to destroy the Torah and the prophets; I have not come to destroy but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

The names of Adam’s descendants through the line of Seth, as found in Genesis 5: 1-32, and continuing through the line of Shem (the son of Noah) as found in Genesis 11:10-26… appear to reveal Moshiach!

CRITICAL KINGDOM KEYS… Scriptures for insight, inspiration and provision in preparedness… as we approach the ‘Great Tribulation’!… He that hath an ear, let him hear…

(Scripture compilations, highlights & commentary at center by Aviel E. Rodriguez)

    Romans 1:17

17For therein is the righteousness of Elohim revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

    Ecclesiastes 3:14-15

14I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

15That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and Elohim requireth that which is past.

Now, regarding the House of Judah…

    Zechariah 13:8-9

8And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith YHWH, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

9And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, YHWH is my Elohim.

    Matthew 8:11-12

11And I [Yeshua] say unto you [speaking to individuals from the House of Judah], That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

                                                                            Sanhedrin Elders

    John 11:47-54

47Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man [Yeshua] doeth many miracles.

48If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

49And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high  priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

     51And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Yeshua should die for that nation;

52And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of Elohim that were scattered abroad [i.e., namely, the House of Israel/Ephraim].

53Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

54Yeshua therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

    Luke 13:34-35

34O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

35Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of YHWH.

    Ezekiel 16:1-3

1Again the word of YHWH came unto me, saying,

2Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

3And say, Thus saith Adonai YHWH unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.

    Ezekiel 16:45-47

45Thou art thy mother’s daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

46And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

47Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.

    Ezekiel 16:59-63

59For thus saith Adonai YHWH; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

60Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

61Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

62And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am YHWH:

63That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith Adonai YHWH.

    Isaiah 29:9-14; 19-20; 22-24

9Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

10For YHWH hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

11And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

12And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

13Wherefore YHWH said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

14Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid…

19The meek also shall increase their joy in YHWH, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

21That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

22Therefore thus saith YHWH, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

23But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the Elohim of Israel.

24They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine

Now, regarding the House of Israel/Ephraim…

    Matthew 22:1-14

1And Yeshua answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

6And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

7But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

9Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

10So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14For many are called, but few are chosen.

    Revelation 19:6-8

6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for YHWH El Shaddai reigneth.

7Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

    Matthew 25:24-30

24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Master, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26His master answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    Luke 12:45-48

     45But and if that servant say in his heart, My master delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46The master of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

47And that servant, which knew his master’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

48But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

    Matthew 25:6-12

6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Master, Master, open to us.

12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

                                                         outer darkness_1

The servant that knew his Master’s desire but did it not was appointed his portion with the “unbelievers”.  He was beaten with many stripes because of his luke-warmness and apathy towards his Master’s will.  Could the phraseologies: cast out into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth’ receiving many stripes’… andbeing assigned his portion with the unbelievers’ all be speaking of the same thing?  Could these, in fact, all be euphemisms for The Great Tribulation?!

I do believe so!  Moreover, I believe that the rejection of the ‘foolish virgins’- as a judgment- is readily distinguishable from the judgement on the wicked of the nations who’ll be judged at Yeshua’s return.  You see, whereas the ‘foolish virgins’ were unprepared to enter the bridegrooms chambers and thus were left out in the ‘Great Tribulation’, the plight of the ‘wicked of the nations’ is very different.  The wicked will be judged and condemned upon Yeshua’s return at the end of the tribulation; and this judgment and condemnation will be on the basis of their ill treatment of the ‘Great Tribulation saints’ [Matt. 25:41-46]… i.e., with respect to how they had ill treated all those who turned and followed Messiah Yeshua during that period.

However, for the ‘foolish virgins’ who’ll be left out in ‘The Great Tribulation’, this will be their final opportunity during that time to truly wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb and be found among that ‘great crowd’ seen in Revelation 7:13-14.  Nevertheless, in that place of “outer darkness” there will indeed be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  For, in fact, the “foolish virgins” are presently the apathetic, slothful, and wicked servants who know their Master’s will but do it not.

The “wise virgins”, on the other hand, had not only washed their garments in the blood of the Lamb; but were arrayed in fine linen, clean and white.  For the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.  Thus, in knowing their Master’s will, they devotedly sought always to walk in the Ruach (Spirit… by holy faith) and not in the flesh.  They bore fruit through faith in His Word… some 30, some 60… some 100-fold.  They were seeking to live out ‘His Kingdom principles’ wherever they found themselves planted.  They sought to live in righteousness, peace and joy in the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).

They also understood that they were being kept in the Father’s Name, YHWH, and so they feared YHWH and spoke of Him often one to another; and they thought (meditated) upon His name.  His name is a strong tower, a haven, a secret place.  These ‘wise virgins’ love His Name and were drawn by Him into His inner chamber.  He will set them on high because they have known His Name.  Therefore, they are found upon Mount Zion following the Lamb- who came in His Father’s name- wherever He goes.  These ‘wise virgins’ are the firstfruits from the earth.  They shall stand upon Mount Zion with the Lamb; and they shall have His Father’s Name, YHWH, written in their foreheads.  And they sing a new song that no one was able to learn but them… who’d done these things.

The Judgment upon Babylon & the Call of the Holy Ones

                                               God forbid

    Jeremiah 51:47-50

47Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

48Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith YHWH.

49As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.

50Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember YHWH afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

                                                                              With Faces Towards ZION!

    Revelation 18:1-8

1And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and Elohim hath remembered her iniquities.

6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the YHWH Elohim who judgeth her.

    Isaiah 60:8-9

8Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

9Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of YHWH thy Elohim, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

    Hosea 11:9-10

9I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am Elohim, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

10They shall walk after YHWH: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.

    Matthew 24:29-31

29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

    Hosea 3:5

5Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek YHWH their Elohim, and David their king; and shall fear YHWH and his goodness in the latter days.

                                                                 The Ingatherning

    Hosea 6:1-2

1Come, and let us return unto YHWH: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

    Isaiah 63:16-18

16Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O YHWH, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

17O YHWH, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

18The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.

    Ezekiel 11:14-21

14Again the word of YHWH came unto me, saying,

15Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from YHWH: unto us is this land given in possession.

16Therefore say, Thus saith Adonai YHWH; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

17Therefore say, Thus saith Adonai YHWH; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

18And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.

19And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

20That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their Elohim.

21But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith Adonai YHWH.

    Amos 9:11-12

11In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

12That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen [goyim/nations], which are called by my name, saith YHWH that doeth this.

    A Reminder to Judah…

    Ezekiel 16:46; 55; 60-63

46And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters

55When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate…

    A Reminder to Ephraim…

    Jeremiah 31:20-22 (King James Version)

20Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith YHWH.

21Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.

22How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for YHWH hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

    Isaiah 54:1-3

1Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith YHWH.

     2Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

3For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

    Jeremiah 3:14

14Turn, O backsliding children, saith YHWH; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

two from family & one from city

    Judah and Ephraim Reunite…

    Malachi 3:16-18

16Then they that feared YHWH spake often one to another: and YHWH hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared YHWH, and that thought upon his name.

17And they shall be mine, saith YHWH of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth Elohim and him that serveth him not.

    Isaiah 49:18-23

18Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith YHWH, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.

19For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.

20The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.

21Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?

22Thus saith Adonai YHWH, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.

23And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am YHWH: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

    Revelation 7:1-4

1And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living Elohim: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our Elohim in their foreheads.

4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

    Revelation 14:1-4 (King James Version)

1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.

2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto Elohim and to the Lamb.

10Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living El.

11Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

6In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

7YHWH also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

8In that day shall YHWH defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as Elohim, as the angel of YHWH before them.

9And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

13When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

14And YHWH shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and Adonai YHWH shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

15 YHWH of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.

  • Messianic Rabbi Unknowingly Gives Tacit Evidence for Location of Modern-Day Ephraimite Stronghold (Revised 2012)

    1)

Messianic Rabbi Unknowingly Gives Tacit Evidence for the Location of the Modern-Day Ephraimite Stronghold

    by Aviel E. Rodriguez

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s ‘N.Y. Times Bestseller’ book, The Harbinger, reminds me of an old adage which says that “the fruit does not fall far from the tree”.  In other words, there’s a great likeness to be found between the child and the parent.  In relation to this statement, however, one would have to say that the Messianic Jewish movement (to which the Rabbi belongs) adamantly denies any sort of connection, whatsoever, between the “Lost Ten Tribes of Israel” (collectively known as ‘Ephraim/Israel’) and the Ephraimite or Christian Zionist movements of today. Therefore, unfortunately, within Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s excellent book, there is to be found, as well, this shortsighted and possibly biased prophetic “disconnect”.

Nevertheless, in studying this article and its connecting ‘links’, the objective reader will- I believe- discover that the Scriptures draw for us a compelling case by which to understand that the modern-day Ephraimite, Hebraic Roots, and Christian Zionist movements are but separate embers contributing to the same flame of latter-day revival within the House of Joseph… the father of ‘Ephraim’. This is alluded to by the prophets. (Obad. 1:18; Hos. 6:1-3Zech. 8:22-23; Isa. 11:12-13; Jer. 31:4-7) In fact, I believe that Rabbi Cahn has in his book contributed greatly to this picture; although in his mind, it appears to be purely a matter of archetypes… i.e., the symbolic likeness between ancient Ephraim/Israel and ’post-911′ America. Nonetheless, by his drawing out this significant connection between the ancient Ephraimites and modern-day USA, I believe you will see that the Scriptures bare significant revelation to back the assertion that indeed America is the preeminent (chief) land of governance inhabited in its plenitude by the modern-day descendants of Ephraim/Israel. America is Ephraim’s modern-day stronghold! From its inception, America- as the Mount of ‘Ephraim’- has been in the vangaurd for the proclamation of the Gospel. It has led the world in the exporting of the ‘Good News’ to the nations (Matt. 21:42-43; John 11:53-54); but now, it has turned its back on its Maker and become as Babylon of old… purveying every sort of lust for mammon, flesh and power. Thus, bringing us to the full prophetic implication of ‘The Harbinger’. (Ps. 83:3b; Isa. 17:1, 3aJer. 50:12-13; 51:9-11)

Most who’ve heard Rabbi Cahn’s truly important and riveting message of ‘The Harbinger‘ are unaware that the consistent reference to ’Israel’ is, in context, alluding to the ancient people of Ephraim/Israel. They were, alternately, referred to as the ‘Northern Kingdom of Israel’ as opposed to their brethren, the ’Southern Kingdom of Judah’. The ‘Southern Kingdom of Judah’ is represented today by the Jewish people and the State of Israel. However, the Southern Kingdom (Jewish people) were not conquered by the Assyrians; nor are they the ones alluded to in the book.

The book is alluding to those of the Northern Kingdom of Israel… a.k.a. ‘Ephraim’. This Kingdom- upon whom God pronounced judgment due to their persistent spiritual adultery- was conquered by the Assyrians and eventually became the “Ten Lost Tribes of Israel”. Moreover, this has been the hallmark of their judgment… i.e., that they would return to Egypt (i.e., figuratively… speaking of the nations… ”the world’s system”); and there, they would become scattered, mingled and ultimately absorbed into all the nations. They would entirely lose their Israelite identity. In other words, because they had so wanted to be like their foreign neighbors, it was decreed that they would become as the nations. No longer “Israel”, these people of YHWH, now, would be ‘outcast’… cast far off and become indistinguishible from the nations. They would become ’Gentiles’ (Hos. 1:9-10; Hos. 8:8-13; Amos 7:10-13; Amos 9:8-10; Jer. 31:2-6; Jer. 31:18-19, 21; Isa. 10:20-22; Mic. 5:2, 3, 7, 8); and would remain blind to their true identity for a determinant period of time. (Hos. 6:1-2); (Mic. 4:7-10)

Nevertheless, they were the sons of the beloved patriarch Joseph. As such, because of Joseph, they were promised fruitfulness, prosperity, and the gates of their enemies. (Gen. 22:17; 49:22-26). The early Pilgrim settlers of America saw themselves as ‘Israel’; and just as Ephraim is considered by many to be the 13th Tribe, curiously, the Pilgrim’s descendants went on to become part of 13 colonies that, ultimately, became the United States of America.

I believe that Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has in his excellent book inadvertently given us tacit, but yet, compelling evidence for the location of the modern-day Ephraimite “stronghold”.  This evidence is further contained in the two videos clips situated at the bottom.  However, before proceeding to that, I would like the reader to please consider two very pertinent understandings that I’ve derived from the Scriptures that follow.  They shall, I believe, help to further highlight the Rabbi’s unwitting, yet amazing, revelation concerning the chief, modern-day stronghold of a people known as Ephraim/Israel:

The first consideration…. “And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers [and] streams of waters [yivley mayim… from Strong’s #2988 ‘yabal’ meaning stream, watercourse; but also- it stems from Strong’s #2986 ‘yabal’- inferring the following: to bring, lead, carry, conduct, bring along] in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.” (Isaiah 30:25)

THE ONLY OTHER TIME IN ALL OF SCRIPTURE where this particular grammatical form of ‘yabal’ appears again… i.e. as ‘yivley/streams’, is in the midst of the following passage from Isaiah

“For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

And they shall spring up [as] among the grass, as willows by the water courses [yivley mayim… i.e., from Strong’s #2988 ‘yabal’].

One shall say, I [am] YHWH’s and another shall call [himself] by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe [with] his hand unto YHWH,  and surname [himself] by the name of Israel.”  (Isaiah 44:3-5)

It would seem to me- due to their eschatological nature and their unique grammatical association in Scripture- that the two passages above are attesting to two uniquely singular and prophetic events that are tied together.  It, therefore, appears that in the prophesied “day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall“ there would be an outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) that would then begin to ‘bring’ [i.e., yabal/yivley] us along into a latter-day process of- as it were- reorientation, or better said, “re-identification”.  For the Scriptures, again, would appear to indicate that at that time there will arise in awareness three distinct groups of “blood-washesd/Spirit-filled believers”- which relates, I believe, to the following: i.e., those who say ”I am YHWH’S” (blood-washed/Spirit-filled Christians)… those who say “I am Jacob” (blood-washed/Spirit-filled Messianic Jews)… and last but not least, those who say of themselves “I am YHWH’s; and will ascribe to themselves the surname of ‘Israel’” (blood-washed/Spirit-filled Messianic Israelites…aka Ephraimites).

The second consideration that I will offer is related to what the Prophet Isaiah tells us concerning another certain ‘last days’ scenario.  He tells us that YHWH will in the latter-days place “watchmen[Strong's #8104... literally, 'shomrim'/guardians, protectors] upon Jerusalem’s walls as guardians and ‘intercessors’ for Jerusalem and for Zion’s sakes. (Isaiah 62:1; 6-7).  It is this very prophecy which I believe we’re seeing fulfilled before our very eyes, as we see multi-denominational Christian Churches and Messianic congregations of all sorts- all over the world- enthusiastically responding to the call of becoming “watchmen” (i.e., guardians/protectors/intercessors) for the established State of Israel; and for the Jewish people worldwide.  Nevertheless, of still further interest to me is the very strong clue- as I believe it to be- that is put forth by the Prophet Jeremiah as to just who these ”watchers” or “watchmen” may specifically be.

In both ‘Jeremiah 4:16‘ and ‘Jeremiah 31:6‘ the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) inspired Jeremiah to use an interestingly distinct hebrew word that we’ve also translated as the ”watchers” and “watchmen”- of the latter days.  I say this even though I believe that Isaiah’s watchmen and Jeremiah’s watchmen are one and the same.  What’s utterly fascinating to me, however, is that Jeremiah’s “watchers” and ”watchmen“ are both translated from the hebrew word ”notzrim” [Strong's #5341... "notzrim” in the Masoretic text] which, interestingly, is the same modern-day hebrew word for ‘christians‘.  That’s right!..Jeremiah’s word for the latter-day ‘watchmen’ is the same word that’s used by Israelis, today, when referring to Christians!  But also, by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), Jeremiah tells us that these same “watchmen” [Strong’s #5341, “notzrim”] are to be found- most curiously- ”upon the mount Ephraim“… which signifies their stronghold; the place of their principle governance from upon which they intercede on behalf of all Israel:

For there shall be a day, that the watchmen [notzrim/christians] upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto YHWH our Elohim.

For thus saith YHWH [relating to these 'watchmen/notzrim']; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shoutamong the chief [just as one refers to Genesis as B'reishiyt / in the beginning; so too, b’rosh (among the chief) should, I believe, be more accurately translated as in the chief]of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O YHWH, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. (Jer. 31:6-7)

The modern-day ‘Ephraimite movement’, and ‘Christian Zionist movement’ have their moorings in the United States.  Despite the fact that the Ephraimites and the Christian Zionists exist worldwide [as prophetically indicated in Amos 9:9 and Isaiah 11:12-13], they are, nevertheless, most prominent here within the ‘CHIEF’ of the nations, known as America!

In light of all the above, I believe that “Dormant Ephraimites” abound in America.  Why do I say that?  Well, especially, because of what the Prophet Isaiah declares:

    I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way [that was] not good, after their own thoughts;

A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; [cf. Hosea 8:11-12]

    Which remain among the graves [of the Assyrian-Babylonian system], and lodge in the monuments [Strong’s #5341, notzrim], which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable [things is in] their vessels;

Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These [are] a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.  (Isaiah 65:2-5)

In conclusion…. please consider again, if you will, that “notzrim” (watchmen) is the Hebrew word used in modern-day Israel to refer to Christians!  America has had the exalted position and destiny of being in the vanguard [the chief of the nations] in order to bring the gospel to the nations… to bring forth fruit for the ‘Kingdom’.  But, like our ancient Israelite forefathers, we’ve turned our backs on YHWH, our Maker, our King.  Yes, “Dorment Ephraimites” abound in America; and so, as it is written, “many are called, but few are chosen”.  Nonetheless, the call continues to go out to Ephraim to awaken from his slumber and to shake off his Assyrian-Babylonian grave cloths.  This harbinger’s call is coming even from the most unexpected sources.  As in the case of the unwitting Messianic Rabbi (recorded below) who tacitly provides clear and astounding evidence for recognizing the direct prophetic connection between the USA and “the mount” [or stronghold] of Ephraim as described in Jeremiah 31:6.  In so doing, he reveals the true identity of the many Christian ‘lovers of Israel’ that fill most Messianic Jewish congregations here in America and worldwide as well.

I would hasten to add and emphasize that I am not advocating Anglo-Israelism, for I believe that the collective Lost Ten Tribes of Israel are scattered worldwide.  However, I do believe, as stated above, that the USA is at present the prophetic “stronghold of Ephraim”.

In light of all the above, please listen to Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s amazing prophetic declarations which demonstrate that for America and its abounding “Dormant Ephraimites”, indeed, “the fruit has not fallen far from the tree”.  His message is presented in the following two videos:

    Signs Of The Times!

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matt. 24:29-30)

We’ve seen some pretty world shaking financial and political events occur with the inception of this new Jewish Calendar year.  Is the Biblical calendar, in conjunction with a set of recent and exactly calculable future celestial events, in fact telling us that we are indeed about to enter the “great tribulation” aka “the time of Jacob’s trouble”?  Is YHWH indeed presently warning His people of the fast approaching endtime “tribulation” just as He indicates that He would [Gen. 1:14]… i.e., through advance notice by way of signs in the sun and the moon?

Check out these fascinating videos below.  Rabbi/Pastor Mark Biltz reports his

amazing discovery concerning signs in the sun and the moon that would seem to serve as demarcation lines or “book ends” [if you will] that specifically cordon off this coming seven-year period beginning now in late 2008 and stretching through to late 2015.  Are these, amongst many other signs, also heralding the return of Yeshua?  See for yourself.

Mark Biltz; Blood Moons And Solar Eclipses/9th of Av_Part 2

*** Don’t forget to keep in mind, Pastor Biltz’ statement, that these three consecutive years… i.e., 2008, 2009, and 2010 will all see a complete or partial solar eclipse fall on the exact same day… on the first of Av in each of those years.  We’ve already had the first one back in August; and we are now experiencing some very turbulent times.

Hebraically, a sign that manifests in the sun is considered a bad omen for the nations.  Conversely, a sign that manifests in the moon bodes ill for Israel.  Therefore, as stated earlier, and on the basis of Hebraic interpretation, it would appear that the seven year period- beginning from the latter end of 2008 through to the end of the Fall feasts of 2015- has been cordoned off with some special significance.  Let the “wise virgins” take heed.
